Edit subtitle timing and text

Where editing happens

The editor combines a video preview, caption list, timeline, and playhead. Use the caption list for text corrections and the timeline for timing changes that need visual precision.

Edit text

1. Open the project in the editor.
2. Select the caption you want to change.
3. Edit the caption text in the caption card.
4. Use split or merge actions when one caption should become two, or two captions should become one.
5. Wait for the save indicator before leaving the editor or exporting.

Edit timing

• Drag subtitle blocks on the timeline to move them.
• Resize block edges to adjust start and end times.
• Scrub the video and replay difficult moments before exporting.
• Keep captions readable by avoiding very short display windows.
