When to use local style
Local styling is for exceptions. Use it when one caption needs emphasis, a different position, or a visual correction that should not change the whole project.
Apply a local override
- Select the caption in the editor.
- Open the local style or positioning controls for that caption.
- Adjust color, emphasis, anchor, offset, rotation, or other available local settings.
- Play the caption in context.
- Remove the local override if a global style change would be cleaner.
Gotchas
- Too many local overrides make a project harder to maintain.
- If every caption needs the same change, update global style instead.
- Preview local positioning against the actual video frame before exporting.
